The Jewellery Cut co-founder Rachael Taylor and the Goldsmiths’ Centre will share the creation stories of eight jewellers in an exclusive digital event
November 24, 2020 By The Jewellery Cut
This Thursday evening, join The Jewellery Cut co-founder Rachael Taylor and the Goldsmiths’ Centre for a digital discussion about creativity, with some of Britain’s leading contemporary jewellers.
The online discussion, which you can get tickets for here, will focus on the inspiration journeys that led eight designers to create some of their boldest designs. The jewellers will each pick a standout jewel, some of which you can see below, and will discuss the background of the pieces with Rachael on the night, giving attendees a fascinating insight into their individual design processes.
Discussing their work live at the Meet the Maker: Discovering Inspirations digital event will be: Flora Bhattachary, Harriet Morris, Katherine Brunacci of KAB Jewellery, Laura Bezant of Bezant London, Leonid Dementiev, Rosie Odette, Sam Hamilton of Sam Ham and Yeena Yoon.
“I am really looking forward to hosting this discussion in partnership with the Goldsmiths’ Centre,” says Rachael. “The jewels that the designers have chosen to discuss are so varied, and each will have a unique story of conception. What I find so fascinating about jewellery design is how inspirations are interpreted so uniquely by different designers – while two creatives might find inspiration in an autumnal leaf or the same piece of architecture, the result and the sentiment is rarely the same. I can’t wait to share these personal stories of creation with our audience on the night.”
Meet the Maker: Discovering Inspirations will take place online on November 26th, 2020, from 5pm-6.15pm (GMT). To attend, you must book your ticket here
