The Jewellery Cut Live in association with Fuli Gemstones confirms dates for 2021 show

After putting a pause on live events during the pandemic, the popular London jewellery show will return with a new cohort of independent designers

July 21, 2021 By The Jewellery Cut

This October will mark the long-awaited return of The Jewellery Cut Live in association with Fuli Gemstones. Today, the team behind The Jewellery Cut releases the dates for its first physical event since the pandemic, confirming a return to the Royal Institution on October 15th & 16th, 2021.

Returning for its fifth season, the bi-annual two-day boutique jewellery show will take over historic London venue The Royal Institution on Mayfair’s Albermarle Street. Visitors – a mix of shoppers, store buyers, press and jewellery enthusiasts – are warmly invited to join The Jewellery Cut to browse and buy fine jewellery from an exciting cohort of contemporary designers.

Shopping, talks and jewels

Designers confirmed to exhibit at The Jewellery Cut Live in association with Fuli Gemstones in October include: Alison Macleod, Baroque Rocks, Clio Saskia, Deborah Blyth, Dementiev Fine Jewellery, Drutis, Hestia, India Mahon, Kassandra Lauren Gordon, Libby Rak, Noor Shamma, Marie Mas, Pearly Hawker, Reframed Jewelry, Ruby Taglight and The Rock Hound. Visitors to the show will be able to meet the designers, browse their jewellery, plan commissions and buy pieces at the event.

The popular lecture series that accompanies the show will also return, with a full schedule of talks to be released in the coming weeks. These talks will be held within the Royal Institution’s dedicated theatre, which is the venue of choice for many high-profile events, including the The Royal Institution Christmas Lectures filmed for the BBC each year.

“We are beyond thrilled to be planning our next show, after having to put our live events on hold since the last The Jewellery Cut Live in February 2020,” says The Jewellery Cut co-founder Rachael Taylor. “We have a brilliant line up of jewellers for the 2021 show. Some will be familiar to our regular visitors, while others are new names to discover – something that has always been a cornerstone of our events. Demand for fine jewellery – particularly in the designer-maker category – has been strong throughout the pandemic, driven by online sales, and as a result we expect to see a strong visitor turnout in October thanks to a pent-up desire to see jewels in real life once again.”

A sparkling peridot partner

For the first time, the London jewellery show has a headline sponsor in Fuli Gemstones, a mining company that holds the mining licence to a remarkable peridot mine, set in the foothills of the Changbai Mountains in China. Fuli Gemstones will have a prominent presence at the show and will host a peridot talk led by two jewellery doyennes.

Fuli Gemstones will also showcase its grass-green peridot at the show. As well as loose stones, you will be able to see jewellery set with the green gems from recent designer collaborations, including collections by Annoushka, Zeemou Zeng and Liv Luttrell.

“After a stop-start year, we at Fuli Gemstones are excited at the prospect that The Jewellery Cut Live will be back this autumn,” says Fuli Gemstones chief marketing officer Pia Tonna. “Personally, I can imagine all the designers participating this year will be full of hope at the prospect of meeting old and new clients in a luxury atmosphere once more. We can’t wait to see the show come to fruition; it will be wonderful to finally see the creations of designers up close, rather than through a Zoom call.”
