Take a tour of the secret London vault used by billionaires

Join jewellery rental service Covett for an evening of contemporary jewels, a talk with The Jewellery Cut and a very special tour

January 24, 2022 By The Jewellery Cut

Have you ever wondered where the most exclusive jewellery in London is kept? For those with collections serious enough to warrant restrictive insurance policies, a jewellery box on the bedside table doesn’t quite cut it. Instead, such valuables are secreted away in high-security vaults.

This week, jewellery co-ownership and rental service Covett is opening up this secretive world as it hosts an event at the IBV International Vaults in London’s Park Lane, and followers of The Jewellery Cut are invited to join.

The evening, which will take place on January 27th, 2022, will allow guests to step inside this secretive space and join the team at IBV International Vaults for a tour of the space on which you can discover just how secure the space is and how the process of storing jewels works.

It will also be an opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the jewels available through Covett, which when not being loaned out to its members are securely stored in the IBV vault. On display at the event will be jewels from designers including Alice van Cal, Ouroboros Jewellery, Myriam Soselios, The Rock Hound, Karen Phillips, Picchiotti, Baunat, Eva Gems & Jewels, Zeemou Zeng and The Jewellery Cut Bursary 2020 winner Le Ster.

Covett founder Cynthia Morrow will be joined by The Jewellery Cut co-founder Rachael Taylor at the Visit the Covett Vault event for a live discussion about how her jewellery business was founded and the rise of luxury rental services. Guests will also have the chance to put questions to Cynthia about the jewellery co-ownership and rental model.

Visit the Covett Vault will take place on January 27th, 2022 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at IBV International Vaults, 46 Park Lane, London, W1K 1PW. To join the evening, The Jewellery Cut readers must RSVP here
