Susannah King shortlisted for Professional Jeweller Awards

Berkshire goldsmith and designer vying for Young Designer of the Year in competitive category at vote-based jewellery industry awards

British jewellery designer Susannah King has been shortlisted for Young Designer of the Year in the Professional Jeweller Awards 2019.

 

This category of the awards, organised by business magazine Professional Jeweller, celebrates talented jewellery designers under the age of 30. The judging will take place online, with jewellery retailers having the casting vote to decide the winner.

 

Susannah King is based in Berkshire, where she makes all of her jewels by hand, turning her talents to every element of making including gem setting, casting and engraving. Find out more about the 21-year-old third-generation goldsmith here.

 

“It’s nice to be a finalist at such a young age,” said King. “I’ve put so much into making a brand that I love and that I’m passionate about, so being in the last stage for young designer of the year is a dream.”

 

Also vying for Young Designer of the Year are: Adrien Leroux of Diamond Centre Wales; Becca Macdonald of Becca Macdonald Studio; Rachel Morgan of Domino Jewellery; Roseanna Croft of Roseanna Croft Jewellery; Simeï Iréne Snyman of Taylor & Hart.

 

The Professional Jeweller Awards will take place on September 2nd, 2019, at Lord’s cricket ground in London. The winner of Young Designer of the Year will be announced during the ceremony. Cast your vote for the awards here.
