This Tuesday evening, join The Jewellery Cut co-founder Rachael Taylor and the Goldsmiths’ Centre for a digital discussion about gemstones, with some of Britain’s most exciting contemporary jewellers.

The online discussion, which you can get tickets for here, will introduce you to seven jewellery designers and the gemstones they love. Join Rachael as she quizzes each jeweller about why they work with the gems they do, and shares interesting facts about each gemstone.

Discussing their work live at the Meet the Maker: Designing With Gemstones digital event will be: Ana Thompson, Carol Clift, Aishleen Lester of Le Ster, Akansha Sethi, Rosanna Croft and Karen Philips. Each designer will speak to a different gem, covering diamonds, amethyst, kunzite, tourmaline, sapphires, morganite and lapis lazuli.

“This should be a fabulous exploration of creativity and gemstones,” says Rachael. “In each conversation, we will explore the beauty and origins of each gemstone, and also connect that to the personal work of the designer who has used it – asking how each gem fits within their collections and why they selected it.”
