Earlier this year, luxury fine jewellery brand Ruifier took a trip with us to Copenhagen Fashion Week, after its contemporary designs and delicate diamonds impressed our editors.  

Each piece of Ruifier jewellery is created by master craftspeople, using conflict-free gemstones and diamonds.

The Visage collection captures a fun side of fine jewellery, while the Ruifier London line illustrates the brand’s founder and designer Rachel Shaw’s technical prowess with visual, architectural styles.

New Ruifier collection Scintilla is inspired by the stars. Many of the pieces can be adapted and interlocked with each other, making each design unique.

Tell us about your brand.

“We are a British jewellery brand that launched in 2013. I really wanted to create a brand that focused on playful and unique designs. Our aim is to allow the wearer to express emotion and character through their jewellery, all with beautiful, precious, conflict-free stones and diamonds.”

What inspires your designs?

“I’m inspired every day by the evolving worlds of art, architecture and fashion that come with living in London. I love the geometric patterns and reflections created by buildings, modern life and technology as we know it. Nature and our universe also prove to be endless sources of my inspiration.”

What made you want to become a jewellery designer?

“I have always loved jewellery, and chose to study Jewellery Design at Central Saint Martins, where I learned how to turn ideas and inspiration into unique designs. After Saint Martins, I sourced inspiration globally through my travels and experiences. As a designer, I want to invite the wearer to become the storyteller and to tell a story of their own through the many ways in which my pieces can be adapted and worn.”

Tell us about your latest collection.

“Our latest collection, Scintilla, is a celebration of the stars. We drew inspiration from the beautiful patterns they create in the sky. Each piece displays radiant diamonds and is intricately crafted in 18ct yellow gold. We are also launching another new collection at the beginning of this year that displays an array of precious gems that celebrate the vibrant colours and luminosity of our universe.”
