Following her debut at The Jewellery Cut Live in association with Fuli Gemstones in October, jewellery designer Alison Macleod has been keeping busy at her workshop in Dumfriesshire, and we are delighted to share with you a brand new selection of her jewels that have just launched on The Jewellery Cut Shop. 

Alison is known for her exquisitely textured gold, which is formed by overlapping minuscule circles laid out by hand to create a pattern she calls Catkin. This classic motif makes a return in the new collection, along with some beautifully muted gemstones, including champagne diamonds, dusky tourmalines and deep-pink garnets.

With a focus on everyday luxury, Alison has also offered up a selection of plain gold jewels designed to be worn always. The jeweller herself is a wonderful ambassador for this concept, and claims never to remove her own Tiny Catkin gold necklet, which is decorated with a disc of gold at just the right length to nestle comfortably on the collar bone. This piece, as well as many more of Alison Macleod’s delicate gold jewels, is ideal for layering.
