Masters In Creativity is on the hunt for the best design talent the world has to offer as it opens up applications for its annual international jewellery competition, which has a total prize pot of $14,000 (£10,700).

The task masters have set a knife-edge brief, seeking designs that are both “out of the box” as well as commercially viable and wearable. For this year’s competition – the second edition – each entry should play up to the theme of ‘To Wonder’ and designers can use any type of materials.

The Antwerp-based Masters In Creativity jewellery competition, co-sponsored by Masters In Creativity International Association and KoMASK (Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Fine Arts), is open to all with “no limits on nationality, education, occupation or age”. The top prize for the winner will be $7,000 (£5,300), with a second prize of $5,000 (£3,800) and a third-place prize of $2,000 (£1,500).

“We call on all creative and talented jewellery designers to submit as many designs as possible inspired by the theme,” said Masters In Creativity promoter Jennie Baeten. “We are looking for the most creative, innovative designs.”

The deadline for competition entries is March 20, 2020. All entries will be judged by an international panel of experts, from jewellery designers and manufacturers to editors and influencers. Full details on how to enter can be found here.
